Prevention against new HIV infections:
This is to be implemented especially through Anti-AIDS Clubs (AAC) that are supported in 32 partner schools and in 14 churches. AMU will promote HIV Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT), avoiding dangerous behaviours and awareness raising.
Anti-AIDS Clubs
To facilitate and conduct HIV awareness campaigns we support, train and finance Anti-AIDS Clubs (AAC) (Clubs anti-SIDA)
An ACC is a group of students that are organized and committed to lead campaigns for stopping HIV new infections through games, songs, poems and theatres.
The role of AMU is to mobilise partner-schools and to have an ACC. AMU will train its members, support the ACCs and encourage them to engage in raising awareness against HIV new infections and care for the people infected/affected by that pandemic.
